Huge thanks to Rob, the PSIMET crew, and everyone else who made today’s race happen. Amazing that you could do that on such short notice, and I thought the course was very well designed. Greatly appreciated!
On behalf of the West Town Bikes Juniors Program thanks to all who made this happen last minute. For all but 1 of my juniors this is their first year of CX and they are quickly falling in love with it. Giving them all the chances to race right now is huge.
Great course! Thanks PSIMET! Sorry to everyone behind me when I fell and held them up.
Great course design and so fun to race today. Thank you to all that made this weekend happen.
So, I’ll just come out and say it.. today’s track was the best layout of the year, thus far.
Bravo, Psimet for pulling together a race with such class and challenge on a moments notice.
The use of bunkers, volleyball pits, and long power sections is exactly how that venue should ride. Hats off to everybody involved.
That being said, I hope to not ride ILRCX anymore this season! 😝
Agreed best course yet, and I may be on an island here but I would ride ILRX all season long!
We could probably buy the hotel and make it CX headquarters. (As long as we leave the cave)
Thanks to everyone that made it happen!
I know the weather has helped a lot to make the course feel so different over the past 3 weeks, but I also want to give props to all the last minute course designers doing such a good job making the same place feel different 3 weeks in a row
I’d like to echo Aaron’s comments above. Blackstone Bicycle Works is deeply grateful for the chance to race and for all the efforts behind the scenes to make sure we have a course each week. All of our new riders have caught cx fever!
Great course and great job by PSIMET!
Thanks to everyone for making it happen.
The three race Indian Lakes Cup Series was a blast! Major props to week one xXx Racing Courtney O’Neill and Tom Stutesman. Fantastic work in week two by Josh Arends and his Comrades. Week three was a TEAM win by everybody. Snowy MT rented a roto tiller! Cannella, Naughton, Mikos, and many others nailed it Saturday. Rob Curtis and Leah Sandra piloted the ship, and everybody grabbed an oar. Thanks to F3, SasSqaud, RegionRiot, Josh, Margot, Scott AND Melissa, Pony Mom Sarah, and fifty others who didn’t hesitate. PSIMET has a two race weekend in four weeks. WHO DOES that? Here’s the ask. Sign up for States. Also. DONATE to Blackstone AND West Town. Do this. We’re just getting started…..
Gotta agree with all the comments so far – fantastic course (although those power sections were tough for the little chaps) – and thanks to all the hard work from everyone who contributed their time and energy to make it possible.
Quick question – I dropped somewhere between the car park / registration and the pits a pair of Bolle sunglasses. White frames with a blue stripe on top and red lenses? Anyone find these?
Great day of racing! Thanks to all involved for setting up an entirely different and challenging course.

A Veridgree Village jacket was added to the overflowing Lost and Found bin. The Stans Crest wheel is still in the bin, too. All will be in the trailer next Sunday.
Thanks for making the race happen.
A huge thank you to those that helped break the course down.
See everyone at Woodland.
Many, many thanks to all those associated with making Indian Lakes 3 a terrific event/course. To pull of such an undertaking in 24 hours is remarkable. We owe all of you a huge debt of gratitude!
English Steve: Bolle glasses are in the lost and found
I really enjoyed this course. Less mud is good long roadie type sections are better for me.
Props to everyone involved in putting this on.
Here is video from the back of the 45+ race. Enjoy the wipeout at 5:45.
Thank you for the comment about the Crest wheel. I checked with lost and found after ILR #1 and it hadn’t surfaced. I assumed it became a permanent part of ILR landscape.
Thanks again to all. I agree, definitely the best course of the 3 in my opinion.
Here’s my men’s Cat 4 race; will post the 4/5 shortly:
What followed was a great day of racing (IMO) with a great feeling of openness and community. This doesn’t happen without all of the years, experience, structure and teams to help that our series has. Times like this drive home how valuable our director Jason Knauff and board are. This is the best series in the country and these are some of the biggest reasons why.
Thank you everyone.
(Especially Julie and my family for pitching in and putting up with me. Andrew has his best race ever and I can see it means a lot to him)
I don’t remember all the details.
Things happened quick and starting at 1:40pm on Friday. In roughly 21-22 hours we had a venue, insurance, porta potties (hardest part of all of this), contracts, land use permit, reg data and binders, and a course set up. That was 100% everyone. We just keep running through our mental lists of what needed to be done, asking for help and we never heard a no.
PJ Cavoto designed the course. Every time I turned around someone else was there to help. Jim Cannella (ABD), Troy Crady (MOX), Brad Dash (ABD), Kevin Corcoran (xXx), Nathan Schneeberger (Snowy Mountain Photo’s), Mike Naughton (Wheel Werks), Jim Groenhof (F3), Dave Hoder, etc. including many from my own team – primary among those Anthony Mikos. My apologies if I missed you.
Nothing like walking into Reg to see Josh Arends (Comrade) who was race director the previous weekend in this same location volunteering first thing in registration. Leah was there with coffee and donuts and her volunteer list ready to take charge of the day as well as race.
I took a couple pictures. These are small versions, if you want one, or want one taken down, let me know.
I haven’t done action photography in years, I forgot how fun it is.
Hey, Peter. Thanks for posting, I’ve been waiting to see the 4/5. Any chance you could send the file for the full view of the reverse cam? Unfortunately, finished in view of that one and had a lot of good footage.
Here’s mens 4/5 to go with the 4s that I posted earlier.
Thanks again everyone!
The Indian Lakes Resort and ChiCross Cup community did not disappoint this past Sunday. In spite of Mother Nature y’all took lemons and made some amazing lemonade. It was great to hear the (mostly) positive feedback on the #snwymtnsandpit 😉
We have traveled across North America chasing bike races and we have yet to find a community as willing to step up and pitch in as the CCC family.
Our photos from #DRWcx / #ILRCX the third can be found here: https://www.snowymountainphotography.com/Sports/Cyclocross/2019-Cyclocross/CCC1903PulaskiWoods/
All our best,
Morleigh and Nathan
Will collect them this weekend. Phew!!
Some photos from Sunday. I was only able to make it out to a few races in the afternoon, so apologies if I missed your race.
